the 16 Days of Activism to End Gender-based Violence
“UNiTE to End Digital Violence against All Women and Girls”. The 2025 UNiTE campaign calls for Governments to pass and enforce laws that criminalize digital violence, protect personal information and strengthen tech sector accountability; tech companies to ensure platform safety, remove harmful content; Donors to invest in feminist organizations working to end violence against women and digital rights advocates; and Individuals to speak out, support survivors, and challenge harmful online norms.

November 11, 2024, White Rock City Hall Cenotaph: We laid down our wreath in honour of those that sacrificed their lives for our country.
Our Soroptimist Open House was a great success, including the addition of 5 new members joining! We welcome the new Executive Board and look forward to an exciting new year. Thank you to all those that attended.

We Are Soroptimist
A global volunteer organization that provides women
and girls with access to the education and training
they need to achieve economic empowerment.
Women at their best, working to help other women to be their best.
The White Rock chapter of the Soroptomists was chartered in 1950. We recently celebrated our 70th Anniversary in March 2020. We focus on helping women in our own community and around the world. We have raised thousands of dollars over our years of being in operation, distributing the funds to various deserving charities that improve the lives of women. Our members enjoy working together to provide funds to assist organizations throughout the community. The signature project of SI White Rock is called ReSTART.Soroptimist.
Today we have 15 dedicated members and we are always looking for more to join us in our work.
Our focus is on education because educated women and girls are:
less vulnerable to sex traffickers
more likely to leave a domestic violence situation and not return
able to access healthcare
less likely to live in poverty
